The Ministry Tourism and Culture provides leadership within the arts and culture community to support a strong and stable culture sector that will help to build vibrant and livable communities and a creative and innovative knowledge-based economy in Ontario.

The Ministry works with the culture sector to develop and implement policies, programs and services that enhance the contribution of cultural industries, arts, heritage, archaeology, libraries, museums and cultural agencies to Ontario”s quality of life.

The project was a great project to be involved with because allowed us to exhibit our team work of schedule and site coordination between our Site super and our PM. It was also exciting because one of the highlights of this project consisted of connecting two floors with an internal staircase. The interior staircase was stripped and refinished with new stainless steel post, railing and tempered glass balustrade The total area was about 22,000 square foot on two floors.

After demolition new construction featured new drywall partition walls, custom millwork and accent wood wall features. The design was complemented with new full height glass doors and walnut doors with wood frame glazed walls with specialty hardware, card readers and automatic door operators. Ceilings consisted of new suspended acoustic ceiling with some accent drywall ceilings and bulkheads.

COREPLAN was also responsible new electrical and mechanical equipment that was installed and modified complete with construction of new LAN Room with separate cooling system and complete structured cable communication system installation which required intensive and extensive site coordination of trades by our site superintendent.
